Field Trip

Remember my 8 days field trip last month? Before the trip, I was complaining that 8 days are too long. But come to think of it, 8 days without classes doesn't sound so bad, or maybe it is just me whom just caught the lazy bug. I feel so lazy right now, been procrastinating non stop by stalking people in Facebook since the evening.

First stop of our trip is Batang Ai, Lubok Antu. Reached there late afternoon because we started the journey around noon. After checking in our stuff at the hostel, we left for Lubok Antu town, a very small town which only took us less than 30 minutes to tour the whole town. Knowing us, we spent the rest of town trip camwhoring around the playground near the river.

Shades on, we found our long lost 'friend'

This field trip feel more like a getaway to me because our lecturers were so lenient on us. We only had two visits max per day and we were well-fed. At night, we would gathered around and watched romantic comedy movies. Felt more like a sleepover party, actually. The only downside would be the accommodation and the long ride in the bus, it took us 12 hours to reach Kuching from Bintulu.

Flat tired

We visited oil palm mill, rubber estate, Malaysia Rubber Board, Sarawak Planted Forest nursery and Sarawak Oil Palm and Gua Niah as well, more like the entrance cave in Gua Niah because we were running out of time. The journey back and forth to Trader Cave from the jetty was approximately 1 hour or so I think. Jungle trekking with gastric pain was no fun.

Come to think of it, we spent about 2 and a half day in the bus, travelling back and forth from Miri, Bintulu and Kuching. Nevertheless, we had fun too, be it gossiping or just fooling around. Seems like everyone got a little dirts around, look definitely can be be deceiving sometimes. After all the fun, it's time to get back to reality. I have reports, midterm, German oral and thesis writing waiting to be done. Final exam is less than a month away too. It's time to hit the books and get serious.

The pictures above are taken from the amazing photographer, Grace's Facebook. I love her photo editing skill, every picture turned out so well. And the last 4 pictures are taken from Azizi. Therefore, no watermark for this post. :)
