Thank you

I've come to a realization that I almost take things for granted these days. When I achieved something, I always think to myself that I deserve it. I may have been working my ass off for it but it was not my effort alone that made me what I am today.

It's the blessing from people around me.
It's the guidance from my parents and family.
It's the constant support from my friends.

Really, without them, I'm nothing.

Sometimes, I feel so blessed to have these people in the life that I'm overwhelm with happiness. I'm somewhat is an introvert person and seldom speak my thoughts aloud let alone showing it. Only with my closest circle of friends and family, I show my true self.

My sisters always say that I have no feeling. What they mean actually is I show no emotion of sadness or excitement (for people only because I have soft spot for animals especially for dogs). Don't get it wrong tho, I show no emotion if that incident has nothing to do with me. Even if it does (like a bad break up), I still choose to show no emotion at all because I choose not to be affected by it.

Maybe I'm just not the type of person who show everything on their face. But I realized I only did that to my extended family members. Be it a good news or bad news, I always show straight face, I guess I take after my dad.

Some goes to gratitude. I feel blessed and happy deep down in my heart, I'm just bad at expressing this to my family. But I guess it still show in my face, my smile when I'm with them.

Thank you to everyone whom had been nice and loving towards me. And thank you to the bf who has been really patience with me whenever I throw my tantrum or having my mood swing. Thanks to my parents too, whom love me unconditionally.

So, this is what I'm thankful for for this rather belated Thanksgiving. What's yours? :)

Homemade Spaghetti

When bf was back at Sibu last week, we tried on something new. We cooked our own spaghetti including the spaghetti sauce. I never made my own sauce because I always buy the instant or ready made sauce to go with my spaghetti.

I was skeptical at first when bf said he would prepare the sauce from scratch. Man when they cook, they need no recipe at all. When I asked him what he needed, he said just the normal stuff for cooking. I was like 0.o
Missing the "h" in the picture above hehehe

The ingredients are:
 Chopped garlic
Diced red onion
Finely diced onion
Half clove (?) of capsicum
Tomatoes
Hotdogs
3/4 of tomato sauce
2 eggs
2 slices of cheddar cheese (the one for burger filling)
Olive oil or normal cooking oil will do

We He just added up everything as he like when he cooked. So there's no exact measurement of how much of this or how much of that needed. I guess you just have to trust your instinct.

The steps are as usual. Boil your spaghetti with a pinch of salt and olive oil until it is soft enough to be eaten. Meanwhile, you can start preparing your sauce.

Heat up your pan with olive oil

Saute the garlic, red onion and onion

Or better yet, get your man to saute everything for you
*The man above is not for sale*

When it turns golden brown, add in your hotdogs and tomatoes sauce. Then add in the capsicum and tomatoes till everything is nicely cooked. The last step is to add in the eggs and cheese slices. You can skip this if you are not keen with egg and cheese. But be warn that by adding eggs, it will make your sauce look a bit ewwww but it taste so good.

Bf forgot to put in salt but the combination of the ingredients compliment each other so well that the taste hit the perfect notch. It was our perfect Saturday lunch. As you can see, the ingredients are readily available in your kitchen, for the one that you don't have, you just have to improvise. Like us, the only cheese that we have are the cheddar cheese for the burger filling, so we gave it a go.

Our homemade spaghetti

Don't let the look fool you because we licked our plate clean in 15 minutes.
You know what they say, don't judge a book by its cover.

Recap: From last month till recently

I feel like I haven't properly updating my blog lately. The same old problem again, laziness. Nothing much to document as well. I just feel like I want to live in the moment, being happy and bless with my life, enjoying every moments especially this week, the week that I had been anticipating for. It's bf mid sem break, he is was back for week. Since he's back, I only turning on my laptop twice, hence no update.

I just sent him off at the airport earlier this evening. It was my first time sending him off because all this while, he was the one waving outside the boarding hall for me. It doesn't matter which side I'm at, the heavy feeling still overwhelming.  But never mind because after the next two months, I'll be seeing him again, for longer time.

Wanted to show off my soft gel nails but failed.

My ootd from 2 or 3 weeks ago
Studded hairband is gift from Miao

Another ootd for a company beach trip at Kingwood Resort Mukah

I was a bit skeptical about the trip at first because trip with your colleagues is something that I'd never done before. At the beginning, I asked for an exclusion but my boss said the trip is a must for a newbie ='= But I'm glad I did went because I had so much fun playing games and trying to win for our team. Plus, I'd never been to Kingwood Resort Mukah.

It is clean but relatively small resort by the beach side. A perfect place for relaxing albeit the lack of activity going on around there. The only downside is the food. It was meh, they could have done better. By the way, we didn't win but were happy and had lots of fun.

Can you believe that in two weeks time, I'll be heading to Bangkok. I'm so excited and can't wait to shop and shop and eat and shop. Yayyyy!!!!

Last Saturday

A picture of me to start off the post because I'm vain like that

Guess who is back in town? It's the brave woman, Sara!!! She is back for a short holiday and of course it is a perfect time for us to meet up. Last time I saw her was last February when I sent her off at airport to Bangkok.

Last Saturday, Miao, Sara and I met up for karaoke. We went to 3 different places and every places was fully booked. Sibu people really enjoy singing hor. Finally we settled for 02, sang for an hour or so and spent the rest of the night catching up.

I really need to get a real camera instead of relying on Iphone

Happy Halloween

Hello peeps! How was your Halloween celebration?
Mine was spent with bestie, Miao.
The initial plan was to go to Baba & Siam Halloween Party.
The party which did not feel like a party at all :(

The compulsory #ootd picture.

The power of bestie, we turned up in the same style.
High waisted short, checked!
Clutch, checked!
Ballerina flats, checked!

Mirror is our best friend

Iphone camera sucks sometimes :(

My new legless crush

The interior

It did felt a bit eerie with all the bloody toilet paper hung around the place.
They put on Paranormal Activity as well.

He She looked scary

The party got a bit bored after awhile because there was not much crowd.
But our party continued to The Core.
It was jam packed with people.
Everyone was in the Halloween mode.
Poor bestie and me only can hang out near the bar.
After a drink and people watching, we called it a night.
